Last week happened to go for movie “Dangal” and here is my review on the movie:
Actors: All the actors in the movie are aptly suited for their characters and everyone acted well according to the story. Especially Aamir and his daughters (Younger ones) performances are well commendable.
Story:Story line is great and entertaining. Though it is based on a real story, they made an effort to add some cinematic twists to the story. Some people in the FB opined that in the movie, it was not necessary to potray the coach’s character as a villain unlike in the real story. But as a movie, for entertaining people it is acceptable to add some cinematic twists to the stories.
The most attracting thing in the movie is their language. Its a typical Haryani style dialogues and the song “haanikaarak bapu” sung by kids (Sarwar Khan & Sartaz Khan Barna) was highlight of the movie. Even the phrases used in the lyrics of the song seems to be funny and lively.
Overall, the story line makes the movie entertaining and does not drag anywhere and at no moment the audience will be bored.
Criticism: Some of the people have felt like again he mocked Hinduism and their beliefs in the scene when people in the village advise him to follow certain things in order to blessed with a baby boy. But if we take the story basis, it happened in a village and according to the storyline it does not indicate any mocking. Also some people have opined that Aamir had to make this film because of what happened to other Khan’s movie(s) after they spoke about intolerance. But since the movie was based on the most inspirational characters who got the gold for the country we should not be looking through that angle.
Best thing about the movie: As mentioned earlier the movie has best dialogues, artists and songs and the story line. More than everything else, the movie conveys the message that girls are no less than boys if provided an opportunity and also shows the efforts/hardships faced by the players from other fields to participate in the international games. It highlights the positive attitude of a father who trusts his daughters in their capabilities and also the support provided by his wife.
Overall verdict: Movie is entertaining and inspirational and a good family movie.
